With 2019 officially underway, it’s the perfect time to set some intentions for the year ahead—and the zodiac has a few ideas. Here’s your perfect new mantra for 2019.
ARIES (MARCH 21–APRIL 19)
This year I will remember how much I have yet to learn. There is no destination too far, and no question too small. I will humble myself with all of the answers I have yet to know. I will find my next greatest teacher. This year I am going to get back in touch with the curious child that lies within.
TAURUS (APRIL 20–MAY 20)
This year I will fall head-over-heels in love with every aspect of myself. The messy parts. The weird parts. The magic parts. It will be an internal and reflective year, full of revelations that set off major personal transformation. It is a year to find all of the hidden treasures that lie beneath my sturdy exterior.
GEMINI (MAY 21–JUNE 20)
This year I am going to discover that two is better than one. I will discover the relief that comes when you have someone to rely on. I will embrace the play that comes with falling in love. This year I will know how good it feels to experience the cold of winter with the warmth of someone by my side.
CANCER (JUNE 21–JULY 22)
This year I am going to shake up and wake up my life. Out with the old and in with the new. I am going to dream bigger about what I want my tangible life to look like. Like finding a scenic commute. Or mastering the perfect cup of coffee. This year I will remember that the joy is in the details.
LEO (JULY 23–AUGUST 22)
This year I will remember that, even with a 9-to-5 job, the world is still my playground. I will throw some paint against the wall. I will roll around in some mud. I will get completely lost in the rain. This year I will embrace the parts of life that are unstructured, irrational, and fucking magical.
VIRGO (AUGUST 23–SEPTEMBER 22)
This year I will come home to the things that make me feel safe. I will get in touch with my definition of family. I will rediscover my roots and family history. I will use the past as a tool for shaping my dream home of today. Whatever gave me the warm and fuzzies growing up, I will give myself more of that this year.
LIBRA (SEPTEMBER 23–OCTOBER 22)
This year I am going to share my vision. I am going to shower myself with ideas. I am going to be jolted with creative energy. And I am going to bathe in a new sense of adventure and discovery. All so I can share what I have learned with the world, and get you excited about what I am excited about.
SCORPIO (OCTOBER 23–NOVEMBER 21)
This year I am going to move past the imposter syndrome that makes me question my worth. Whatever, wherever, and whoever taught me to devalue myself was wrong. I am deeply intelligent. I am shockingly authentic. I am insanely powerful. This year I will stand, feet planted, in my truth.
SAGITTARIUS (NOVEMBER 22–DECEMBER 21)
This year I am going to step out of the shadows and into the light. I will try out a new look. I will smile at strangers on the street. I will give a compliment to someone at work. It is time to say goodbye to whatever and whoever is keeping me small. This year I will embrace just how big my life is meant to be.
CAPRICORN (DECEMBER 22–JANUARY 19)
This year I will learn how to be gentle with myself. Rather than kicking myself when I’m down, I will remember that it is okay to make mistakes. Rather than demeaning my accomplishments, I will accept praise. This year I will remember that I am human, and we are all just doing the best that we can.
AQUARIUS (JANUARY 20–FEBRUARY 18)
This year I am going to find my tribe. I am going to find my homegroup. I am going to find my wolfpack. I am going to find like-minded folk. The kind of people that don’t just respect, but encourage, my beautifully weird way of viewing life. This year I will find the people who accept me exactly as I am.
PISCES (FEBRUARY 19–MARCH 20)
This year I am going to dream a bigger dream. I will ask for what I have earned the right to take on. I will not shy away from responsibility and respect. I will embrace change and the fear of the unknown. My life is not going to look anything like it did a year ago, but why would I want it to?
